1997 there came the next excellent solo album Laugh an absolutely solid
album possibly enjoyed even better in a dark room with the exclusive company
of Smirnoff Black Label. Top tracks for me are Ballad of a landlord, Take
it forever, Misty Water and A room full of nothing. Well, when life can't
possibly get any worse and then does this album makes a perfect soundtrack.
It's a shame that due to his experiences making this album that he has written
off the possibility of another solo album because I love this album over and
above anything else I own musically, yes even my Specials album. But when he's
put his foot down in the past to bands he's been in before it usually stays
firmly down.
